DIY - Corrugated Paper Bracelet

Let's start summer with a very cute DIY.

I will show you how to make a colorful bracelet with corrugated paper sheets.

I did these bracelets with my students during a workshop, it works well with 8-10 years old girls. After a couple tracing and cutting, they managed this activity very well.

Materials

  • Pencil and ruler

  • Scissors (or cutter knife + a cutting mat)

  • White glue

  • Mod Podge + sponge brush

  • Bamboo skewer stick

  • Corrugated paper sheets

  • Black stretch string for jewelry (or simple black string)

  • Some beads (optional)

Instructions

Step #1

Trace and cut several 7 inches long x 1 inch width triangles – Pick different colors and make a lot

Step #2

Roll the triangles around the skewer stick gluing all the way through. Hold it for few seconds and let dry

Step #3

Seal and make the beads shiny applying Mod Podge. Let the beads dry (tip: drill holes in 2 recycled cans to build a drying station).

Step #4

Mount the beads on a string and design your own bracelet. (Tip: I use a piece of cardboard to keep the beads from sliding off the string).

Step #5

Tie it up and do another one!

Final Tip!

Let your imagination take over to make necklaces like below.

You can also try the same technique with paper or old magazines.
